Despatch Operator

Overview

Team: Despatch

Reporting to: Supply Chain Manager

Hours of work: 7.00am to 4:00pm (30 Minutes lunch) Monday to Thursday, 7.00am to 1.00pm on Fridays

Primary Location: Lye

Responsibilities

* Manual handling including packing of parts

* Checking parts & packing parcels

* Greeting drivers and ensuring correct paperwork is signed

* General data input (geared motor sheets, packing lists etc)

* Responsibility for method of packing to correspond with customer and/or transport requirements

* The completion and distribution of despatch documentation when required

* Responsibilities as listed in Health & Safety Policy

* Operation of various equipment as required, Chop saw, nail gun, banding machines and FLT.

Requirements

* High degree of physical fitness

* Computer literate

* Good attention to detail

* Ability to troubleshoot

* Good time management

* Use of initiative
