Senior Network Engineer

Our client, a leading entity in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Christchurch and involves hybrid working arrangements, with 2-3 days per week on site.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure
Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure network efficiency and security
Collaborating with other engineering teams to integrate network systems with defence and security projects
Producing detailed network documentation and reports
Ensuring compliance with security protocols and requirements
Participating in network upgrades and expansions to support organisational growth
Providing expert guidance and technical support to junior engineers and other team members

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in network engineering
Strong understanding of network protocols, hardware, and software
Proficiency in network design and implementation
Experience with security protocols and firewall management
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
