About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Night Shift Cleaning Supervisor for my client based in Darlington

This role will suit a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and experience managing teams in an operational environment. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring standards are consistently met while maintaining a safe and well‑organised working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and coordinate night‑time operational staff to ensure all scheduled tasks are completed efficiently
Monitor work activity across the site, carrying out spot checks to maintain agreed service standards
Support, coach, and guide team members to ensure best practices are followed
Organise staffing levels, workloads, and use of equipment throughout the shift
Escalate any incidents, defects, or operational concerns through the appropriate channels
Complete basic administrative duties, including attendance tracking and shift reporting

Person Specification:

Previous experience supervising teams in an operational, facilities, or service‑based environment
Confident leader with the ability to manage people and resolve issues effectively
Able to work independently and make informed decisions during night hours

Rate:

£13.96ph

Shifts:

7pm-7am
Continental shift pattern consisting of 4 on / 4 off
The shift pattern will include regular weekend
