Working Pattern: Alternate weekends off (flexibility required)
We are recruiting an experienced Food Services Manager to support the delivery of high-quality food and beverage services within a busy hospitality and events environment.
Reporting to the Head of Front of House, you will assist in managing daily operations across student dining and a wide range of events, including conferences, formal dinners, private functions and weddings. You will play a key role in leading and motivating a team of supervisors, food and beverage assistants and casual staff, ensuring excellent service standards and customer satisfaction at all times.
This is a hands-on management role, requiring a strong presence during service, effective staff planning and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
Support senior management and deputise when required
Assist with the management, training and development of food and beverage teams
Support recruitment, performance management and staff scheduling
Ensure smooth, efficient and cost-effective service delivery
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety compliance
Oversee preparation and clearing of rooms for meetings and events
Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally
Maintain accurate operational and compliance documentation (HACCP, risk assessments, training records, COSHH)
Support administrative and financial processes including timesheets and till cover
About You
Proven management experience in a busy hospitality, restaurant or banqueting environment
Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
A flexible and hands-on approach to work
A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and high operational standards
