Our client, a leading organisation in the defence and security sector, is currently seeking a Pipe Mechanical Supervisor to join their team on a contract basis in Glasgow. This challenging role involves supervising the pipefitting and mechanical teams across ship build projects, ensuring all work meets the highest safety, quality, and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervising pipefitting and mechanical teams across ship build projects
Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and production standards
Coordinating with engineering, planning, and quality departments
Supporting progress reporting and resource planning
Maintaining a strong safety culture on site

Job Requirements:

Recognised trade qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. pipefitting, mechanical engineering, fabrication, or similar)
Experience in supervising pipe/mechanical teams, preferably in shipbuilding or heavy engineering
Strong understanding of marine piping systems
Ability to manage diverse trade teams and drive productivity
Safety‑focused approach with excellent communication skills
