QSHE Manager
- Field: Manufacturing/Surveying
- Deadline: 2026-03-09 02:03
- Bradford, West Yorkshire
Are you ready to take on a senior role in a thriving, hands-on manufacturing environment? A highly reputable packaging manufacturer is seeking a QSHE Manager (80% Quality) to lead their quality and compliance functions from the front line.
As a QSHE Manager you will join a well-established SME with a strong legacy of excellence supplying solutions to blue-chip clients. At their size they are big enough to deliver and be secure, small enough to adapt quickly.
As the QSHE Manager, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the business’s best in class quality standards, particularly around BRCGS Packaging Materials, while overseeing QSHE compliance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Lead and maintain compliance with BRCGS Packaging Materials standards.
* Carry out internal audits and drive improvements across the QMS.
* Champion quality on the shop floor – this is not a desk-based role.
* Act as the primary contact for customer audits, complaints, and compliance.
* Ensure operational teams consistently meet hygiene, traceability, and quality standards.
* Oversee health & safety and environmental practices (approx. 20% of the role).
* Work with one supporting admin resource.
What You’ll Bring:
* Strong quality background within manufacturing – ideally food or packaging.
* Working knowledge of BRCGS, preferably with hands-on audit experience.
* Confident communicator with the credibility to influence on the shop floor and in the boardroom.
* Practical experience with ISO standards (especially ISO 9001).
* Comfortable being the sole quality lead – this is a standalone position.
* Strong personality – you’ll be working with a traditional, shop-floor-based workforce.
What’s on Offer:
* Salary: Up to £55,000 (depending on experience).
* Hours: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm (flexible start/lunch arrangements possible).
* Holiday: 33 days (incl. bank holidays).
* Supportive leadership, low staff turnover, and a down-to-earth culture.
About the Role:
This role would suit either an experienced QSHE or Quality Manager with strong BRC knowledge or a confident Quality Engineer/Coordinator looking to step into a bigger role. What matters most is your ability to lead from the front, influence change, and keep quality standards high without hiding behind spreadsheets.
