Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and reliable General Farm Worker to join a mixed livestock farm in Northumberland. This is a long-term, permanent position offering on-site accommodation, ideal for someone looking to relocate and become part of a well-established farming operation.

The role is hands-on and suited to someone with solid experience in beef and sheep systems who takes pride in stockmanship, farm presentation, and working as part of a small, committed team.

Key Responsibilities

Day-to-day care and management of beef cattle and sheep

*

Feeding, bedding, handling, and general livestock husbandry

*

Assisting with lambing, calving, and other seasonal livestock activities

*

Monitoring animal health and welfare and reporting issues promptly

*

Operation of farm machinery and equipment (training provided where required)

*

General farm maintenance, fencing, yard work, and repairs

*

Supporting the wider farm team during busy periods

The Ideal Candidate

*

Proven experience working with mixed livestock, particularly beef and sheep

*

Good practical knowledge of animal husbandry and welfare standards

*

Reliable, hard-working, and able to work independently when required

*

Positive attitude and willingness to be flexible during peak seasons

*

Basic machinery experience preferred (telehandlers, tractors, etc.)

*

Full UK driving licence preferred

*

Comfortable relocating to a rural setting
