Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Installation Engineer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will be capable of working with minimal supervision while contributing positively to a dynamic, busy team. This role involves both on-site installation work at customer premises and control panel wiring in our workshop.

Key Responsibilities

* Install electrical control panels to CAD drawings provided by in-house electrical designers.

* Install mains, 24V DC and communication cables.

* Install cable containment systems to support wiring.

* Wire motors, sensors, and remote Input/Output (I/O) nodes.

* Terminate field cables in control panels.

* Install and configure AC servo drives and inverter motor controllers.

* Ensure all work complies with current electrical safety regulations and best practices.

* Work on-site at customer premises in the automotive, aerospace, and logistics industries.

* Undertake weekend work and overnight stays as required.

* Promote a strong health and safety culture within all work environments.

Requirements for the Electrical Installation Engineer

* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.

* Strong understanding of electrical systems, installations, and components.

* Proven experience in wiring motors, sensors, I/O nodes, and control panels.

* Ability to read and interpret electrical CAD drawings.

* Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and compliance standards.

* Excellent fault-finding, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

* Strong communication skills (verbal and written).

* Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and stay overnight when required.

* Demonstrates a proactive approach to maintaining a safe working environment
