Quality Engineer

Our clients are an electronics manufacturing business, who are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their growing team. Are you a Quality Technician looking for the next step, or have experience working within a quality department and keen to progress?

As a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) while driving the performance of quality-related KPIs across the organization. You will ensure that processes, products, and documentation comply with internal and customer requirements, and you will lead data-driven investigations and corrective actions that strengthen quality, delivery, and cost performance

Responsibilities:
• Assist the Quality Leader - establish, maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Ensuring all quality records are accurately updated.
• Carry out root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
• Conduct internal audits, LPAs, 5S assessments, and support on closing audit findings, reports, corrections, and corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to ISO9001, customer standards, and internal company procedures.
• Lead customer return investigations and supplier concerns, including Goods-In inspections, SCAR creation, and timely resolution of supplier failures.
• Perform advanced root cause analysis for internal process issues using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Work closely with production functions to ensure product quality is maintained and deviations are controlled.
• Resolve daily manufacturing queries in a timely manner to support production flow and minimize downtime.
• Introduce new tooling, jigs, fixtures, and visual aids to improve throughput, efficiency, and yield.
• Maintain calibration records for all measurement equipment, hand tools, and internal tooling owned by the organization.
• Ensure calibration systems meet compliance and audit requirements.
• Identify training and development needs related to quality and processes within the organization.
• Participate in company induction programs as part of new staff onboarding.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business, targeting efficiency, waste reduction, and quality performance improvements.
• Support efforts to achieve and improve functional KPIs.

8:00am – 4:30pm Mon – Thurs & 8:00am -1:00pm Fri
