Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + Excellent Benefits
We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a close-knit team maintaining a modern commercial site in Saffron Walden. Working as part of a small on-site team of three engineers, you’ll play a key role in keeping building services running smoothly across a busy, high-spec facility within the building services and facilities management sector.

What you’ll be doing
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems and equipment
* Responding to reactive maintenance and breakdowns, ensuring issues are resolved quickly and effectively
* Fault-finding on HVAC, hot and cold-water systems, and generators (basic electrical knowledge is beneficial)
* Supervising sub-contractors on site and ensuring safe working practices are followed
* Keeping accurate records, completing paperwork, and updating the maintenance system
You’ll be part of the on-call rota (1 in 4 weeks) with a £100 standby payment.
What we’re looking for
* Recognised qualification in a mechanical discipline (e.g. HVAC, plumbing, mechanical engineering)
* Experience in building services or facilities management environments
* A proactive mindset with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Strong communication and organisational skills
