This role will see the successful candidate embedded within a long-term capital delivery programme, supporting the upgrade and modernisation of water and wastewater infrastructure across the region. It offers exposure to high-profile, complex projects and an excellent platform for long-term career progression within a growing AMP8 portfolio.
Following continued success in securing major frameworks and commissions across the water sector, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a strong background in infrastructure delivery and proven expertise under NEC forms of contract.
The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of multiple projects or large, complex work packages. You will provide strategic direction, oversee project governance, act as a trusted client advisor, and mentor project teams to support successful AMP8 programme outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex water and wastewater projects
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to quality standards
Provide leadership across multi-disciplinary technical teams
Manage project governance, reporting, and assurance processes
Develop and implement project controls, including programmes, risk registers, stakeholder plans, Project Execution Plans (PEPs), and quality assurance plans
Act as primary client interface and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
Chair project progress meetings and senior forums
Manage NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including change control, compensation events, and commercial governance
Oversee project financial performance, forecasting, and cost control
Identify and manage project risks, dependencies, and interfaces across the wider programme
Support business development and mentor junior team members
What You Will Need
Proven experience in the construction, infrastructure, or development sectors
Strong track record of delivering complex projects on programme and budget
Collaborative approach, experienced in working with clients and multi-stakeholder teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including managing meetings at all levels
Experience leading large technical and delivery teams
Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts
Ability to implement and manage a full suite of project management tools and controls
APM qualifications (PFQ and PMQ) or equivalent, working towards Chartered Project Professional status
NEC3/NEC4 accreditation
Full UK Driving Licence
