Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Full Time
Immediate Start | Competitive Daily Pay | Tameside/Oldham Area

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential? We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Special Needs Teaching Assistant to provide personalised support to four pupils within a welcoming and inclusive school setting.

About the Role
You will work closely with pupils who present challenging behaviour, including two non-verbal students. A key goal will be helping to increase their engagement and attendance from part-time to full-time timetables. Your support will play a vital role in promoting their social, emotional and academic development.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver 1:1 and small group support both in and outside the classroom
* Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to each child
* Support progress in core learning and communication skills
* Collaborate with teachers, parents and wider pastoral teams
* Create a safe and positive environment that encourages independence and success

What We're Looking For
* Experience supporting children with challenging behaviour and/or communication needs
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* Patience, resilience and a genuine passion for helping young people thrive
* Confident communicator with excellent teamwork skills
