Network Coordination Officer

Key Responsibilities:
Delivering duties under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA)
Evaluating and managing the coordination, inspection, and enforcement of highway activities
Assessing permit applications for accuracy and compliance with the London Permit Scheme
Issuing fixed penalty notices, defects, and other NRSWA related requirements
Monitoring permit applications and major projects to identify work clashes and collaboration opportunities
Managing external inspections throughout the borough and coordinating on-street activities for safety and compliance
Producing and maintaining comprehensive records and reports of all street works activities
Liaising with utility companies, emergency services, and other stakeholders to coordinate highway activities and address emergencies
Job Requirements:
Experience in a street works related environment with a solid understanding of relevant legislation
Proven expertise in traffic management and permit application assessments
Confident use of relevant IT systems and software for monitoring and coordination
Strong negotiation skills and experience in resolving issues with utility companies and contractors
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage and prioritise an extensive workload with conflicting demands
Valid UK driving licence and use of own vehicle for work purposes

Training and Education:
Streetworks Supervisory qualifications are required
